Bordeaux

Begin your stay in the Bordeaux region with a visit to the largest urban area listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The guided tour of Bordeaux's historic district will introduce you to its 18th century architectural masterpieces. Followed by lunch in a city center's restaurant.

After this you will want to continue at your own pace, discovering the old city by walking around the Saint Pierre district or along the superb facade of the quays. Dinner will focus on local flavours, combining inventive cuisine with tasting of Bordeaux and regional wines.

Saint Emilion

After Bordeaux, head for the medieval town of Saint-Emilion, also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its cobbled and winding streets, stroll through its intimate and sunny squares, admire the monuments with their unique character and be tempted by wines that will not leave you indifferent.

Dinner is served in a fine dining restaurant in the city centre. Your host for the night will also ensure you spend a truly enjoyable evening.

Sarlat, Bergerac and Marqueyssac

After the Saint-Emilion region, head for the Périgord. It is Saint-Michel- de-Montaigne's turn to show you sites steeped in history. You will visit the amazing Montaigne Tower, where the philosopher wrote his famous Essays in the 16th century.

And how about a stopover in Bergerac? You will have a delicious lunch at La Table du Marché, followed by a walk in the historic district. On the way, stop at Marqueysac to admire its incredible hanging gardens. Return to Sarlat for a night in a charming hotel.

Sarlat, Beynac et Cazenac and Castelnaud

Sarlat is known as the pearl of the Périgord Noir. There's nothing like a walk in the early morning to better understand its nickname. Walk through the little streets to discover the distinctive style of the town's buildings, varying between medieval and Renaissance architecture.

Then go a little further, facing the magnificent village of Beynac-et-Cazenac. After a gourmet lunch, attack the fortress at the top of the village, before sailing along the Dordogne river in a gabarre.
