The day will start with a wine-tasting theme. First stop: a Grand Cru Classé wine château in Pomerol. Visit the largest and oldest family estate in the Pomerol PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) area. The visit promises to be full of historical interest and tasting opportunities with some particularly prestigious vintages.
The medieval village of Saint-Emilion, a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation)-listed World Heritage Site is a must-see destination just a few minutes away. You’ll love the beauty of the place, the architecture and the village’s astonishing underground heritage. Enjoy lunch in a gourmet restaurant in the village centre. Enjoy a few hours of free time for shopping in Saint-Emilion before leaving.
Spend the end of this summer day on a walk through the vines in Fronsac in the company of a couple of passionate wine-growers. On the programme: learn about Fronsac’s regional growing characteristics, enjoy views of the surrounding vineyards and a convivial, gourmet tasting in the estate garden or winery.
