The seaside resort of Arcachon is a treasure trove in architectural, seafood and natural terms! Start the morning with a visit to one of the most iconic districts in Arcachon: the Winter Town and its magnificent 19th and 20th century villas, before sitting down to sample seafood in one of the local restaurants facing the Bay of Arcachon.
Continue in the afternoon with a boat trip taking you around the Île aux Oiseaux with its famous Cabanes Tchanquées. After an excursion to the top of the Dune du Pyla, dine out in a top Arcachon restaurant where luxurious, authentic accommodation is also provided for you, complete with magical sea views.
Visit the Cap Ferret peninsula, just 20 minutes by boat from Arcachon or Moulleau (depending on the season). A different atmosphere awaits you on the other side of the bay. A world in which nature takes many forms between the bay and the ocean. Cycling is the ideal way to discover this fragile and precious 44-hectare area from your landing place, the Bélisaire jetty.
For lunch, you can taste oysters at an oyster farm with delightful views of the Dune du Pyla. Or, as an option, you can choose to have lunch beside the water in a famous restaurant on the beach.
The tour continues in the afternoon with a visit to Cap Ferret lighthouse, from where you will enjoy breath-taking views over the ocean and bay. Return by boat to Arcachon from the Bélisaire jetty.
Discover past and present-day Bordeaux through its most beautiful monuments and museums.
Quiet, relaxation and culinary specialities lie in store for this short, 3-day stay in a picturesque village in the Médoc.
